Invented in the 1980s in Twan, and a hit in the US, bubble tea - a milky, fruity tea based drink with popping tapioca like balls - has med its way to Cape Town, courtesy of young entrepreneur Victoria Csuthy. Now available at the V&A Market on the Wharf, Csuthy has big plans to take the delicious drink countrywide. Flavours to try? Hami melon, cranberry and taro.

Originating in Taiwan in the 80s, Bubble Tea (a delicious tea-based fruit or milk drink flavoured with bursting bobas) has already won over Japan, Europe and the US. And, as of now, it can be found in SA's The Bubble Tea Company at the V&A Waterfront.

Boba milk tea, also known as pearl milk tea, is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in tea shops in Taichung, Taiwan, during the 1980s.
